Once upon a time…
in the year 2000, Kaitlyn and Danny were both in elementary school and involved with theatre camp at the JCC. Danny was beginning his career in event technology, designing lighting and mixing audio, while Kaitlyn was in the spotlight, performing on-stage. Kaitlyn quickly became good friends with Danny’s sister, Lauren, who was also on stage. Kaitlyn remembers always seeing Danny with a headset on, trying to perfect his cues in the back of the auditorium.
We had so many fun memories, especially with our awesome camp counselor (and now great friend), Liz. In 2005, we went our separate ways and didn’t reconnect until many years later.
In 2012, Kaitlyn’s last year of high school, the same camp counselor mentioned above, Liz, was producing a teen show at the same JCC where Kaitlyn and Danny first met. Kaitlyn was already roped into performing in the show and Liz needed someone to run lights and sound. So of course, who does she turn to? Danny! This created the opportunity for Kaitlyn and Danny to reconnect. they immediately hit it off and became close friends. about a year later, on 3/26/2013 Kaitlyn and Danny started dating. The rest, as they say, is history.
